After a 10 year career as an engineer doing orthopedic research and product development, Dr West began his medical training with the intention of becoming a specialized knee surgeon. That training culminated in a fellowship at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and the Noyes Knee Institute where he received advanced training in knee surgery.

Dr West has had a substantial impact on orthopedic research by publishing 16 papers in peer reviewed journals, presenting numerous presentations at international conferences and as a consultant for surgical device manufacturers. Now, as a peer-reviewer for the nation’s most prestigious orthopedic sports medicine journal, he stays up to date on the latest treatments for knee injuries
